My original quilt pictured here was made using civil war reproduction fabrics. Butterfly collection was a popular pastime during the civil war years, the butterflies in their log cabin boxes are representational of how people displayed their butterfly collections. I have seen this quilt made up in Aunt Grace fabric and as scrappy quilts to great effect. Finished size 148 square (58"sq.)
